Team Expansion in Dunfermline

We are happy to announce a doubling in revenue and a continuing commitment to investment in our Dunfermline base.

We increased our staff headcount in the Dunfermline office from one employee in October 2022 to five employees today. The team in Dunfermline, comprised of engineers and sales specialists, supports the wider team of specialists to assess print requirements, processes, and digital maturity to deliver robust software solutions via an online subscription-based business model, including cloud-based print management and digital workflows.

“Our goal is to help companies move towards a more sustainable print environment and into the digital space with a suite of eco-friendly workflow solutions,” said Colin Yule, Carbon Managing Director.

“We are focused on changing the way our clients consume energy as we encourage smarter ways of working in a bid to reduce emissions while delivering cost efficiencies.”

Reinforcing the company’s commitment to net zero emissions are a cluster of recent award wins in the Epson Office Print Dealer Awards 2023. Last year, we scooped the Special Recognition Award for our efforts in creating a change in the post-pandemic world, embracing new technologies to help businesses adapt to more efficient and sustainable work environments. We also secured a place in the finals of the Print IT Awards UK 2023 where we received the Highly Commended accolade.

A key new appointment in Fife last year was Digital Services Director, Ryan Green, who bolstered our bumper award-winning year when he earned the Epson Salesperson of Year Award for his work to educate businesses on the environmental benefits of the shift from laser to heat-free inkjet printing.

Ryan, who brings over 20 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of the print and digital sector, says, “I was incredibly proud to receive the recognition, which highlights Carbon’s commitment to innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions to our valued customers.”

“As we celebrate our achievements and growth over the last 18 months, we remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering unparalleled printing & digital transformation solutions.”

We have selected two key partners, namely Epson and Canon, as we continue the drive to make technology work for changing working environments. By leveraging the UK government’s goal of net zero emissions, we are a proponent of Heat-Free Technology as part of its sustainable printing goals.

In one recent case in St Leonard’s School in St Andrew’s, we replaced the school’s legacy laser printers with 23 Heat Free Printers and estimate a 92% reduction in St Leonard’s electricity usage over a 5-year period, delivering both cost efficiencies and a sustainable working environment with a reduction of over 8 tonnes of Co2, equating to almost 400 trees.

Plugging the gap for digital workspaces, we are happy that Carbon is exceeding customer expectations at every turn, helping organisations move away from laborious paper processes and leading them to embrace digitalisation.

Based in the city’s Pitreavie Drive, we provide sustainable managed print and digital services and are reaping the rewards of expansion to support cross-sector businesses to a transition to more modern and sustainable workspaces that are fit for the future.

We work with firms across the UK and are seeing an uptick in clients from Fife, Tayside and Central Scotland, who are looking to replace their traditional print systems with a digital solution. With a diverse customer base, we have created effective digital working environments for clients in the education, finance and legal sectors to the energy, engineering, and agriculture industries.
